Peanut Butter Hazelnut & Chocolate Energy Balls

Prep Time: 10 to 15 minutes

Chill Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 25 to 30 minutes

Number of Servings: 12, 1-inch energy balls

Ingredients:


1 cup (~ 8) dates, pitted

¼ cup (60 mL) hazelnuts, whole

3 tbsp (45 mL) natural peanut butter

¼ cup (60 mL) mini chocolate chips

1 tbsp (15 mL) cacao nibs

2 tbsp (30 mL) hemp hearts

½ cup (120 mL) gluten-free rolled oats or quinoa flakes


Method:

  1. In a food processor, pulse dates and hazelnuts together until it forms a ball. Transfer to a large bowl.

  2. Add peanut butter, chocolate chips, cacao nibs, hemp hearts, and rolled oats to the date mixture. Mix together.

  3. Roll into 1-inch (2.54cm) balls and chill in the fridge for at least fifteen minutes.
